Spelsberg working hard to ensure UK stock throughout 2020

Today’s upheaval and uncertainties in supply chains all over the world are putting many businesses under enormous pressure. With a large UK-based warehouse facility strategically stocked with thousands of enclosures of different sizes and designs, Spelsberg UK will be holding stock throughout 2020. The company will further support electrical design engineers, OEMs, installers and other customers by continuing to offer fast delivery services.

Spelsberg UK is the largest ex-stock supplier of non-metallic electrical enclosures in the UK, with in-house manufacturing and customisation facilities in Telford.

The company has over 8,000 sq. ft of dedicated warehouse space where it holds close to £1m of stock. By covering thousands of individual sizes and designs, next day delivery is guaranteed for 99 per cent of orders for standard enclosures. In addition, the facility is equipped with CNC machines and a permanently manned assembly line to deliver turnkey bespoke solutions.

The availability of UK stock and localised manufacturing capabilities has always been important for Spelsberg. However, with continuing uncertainty of how global and local supply chains will operate in the following months, the company is paying further attention to this issue to best serve its customers.

Chris Lloyd, managing director of Spelsberg UK, comments: “Some of our customers have been asking us whether we will be able to offer the same level of service and support in the following weeks. We would like to reassure them that our business model, based around holding stock in the country, will allow us to provide our complete product offering as normal, despite current challenging circumstances. In addition, we are in touch with providers to ensure supplies of raw materials and maintain our manufacturing facility fully operational. As the global and local situation evolves, we will continue to take the necessary steps to safeguard the reliable supply of our enclosures and accessories.”
