Sensors & Instrumentation Live returns to the NEC, Birmingham on 29 and 30 September 2020. This year, the exhibition will be running alongside What’s New in Electronics Live following the successful acquisition of WNIE Live by Datateam Business Media. With new features coming for 2020, there are lots of reasons to visit the UK’s only dedicated exhibition for test, measurement and control.
Sensors & Instrumentation Live is teaming up with What’s New in Electronics Live to deliver the very best in sensors, test, measurement, control and electronics all under one roof. Both events will return to Hall 1 of the NEC, Birmingham on 29 and 30 September 2020.
This announcement follows the recent acquisition of What’s New in Electronics Live by Datateam Business Media, the company behind Sensors & Instrumentation Live. By joining forces, the exhibitions will provide a comprehensive hub of the latest technology.
Sensors & Instrumentation Live
Sensors & Instrumentation Live has been bringing together leading innovators and professionals from across the fields of test, measurement and control for over ten years. The exhibition covers a range of industry sectors, including: sensors, data acquisition equipment, flowmeters, transducers, signal conditioners, strain gauges, thermometers, test instruments, thermal imaging equipment, monitoring equipment, cables, connectors and calibration equipment.
With thousands of visitors looking to source the latest technologies every year, Sensors & Instrumentation Live presents ample opportunities for exhibitors to meet potential new customers. Exhibitors at the 2019 event had many positive things to say about the show. For example, LIMAB’s Kevin Goodison and Jack Miller said: “Exhibitions such as Sensors & Instrumentation Live really do have an impact on the sector. It gives you a broad range of opportunities to interact with others in the marketplace and it brings like-minded individuals and industries together, which [we] think is wonderful.”
Robert Norris, from another 2019 exhibiting company, Trafag, said: “We see it as a forum to meet new customers. We are always looking for new opportunities rather than catching up with our existing customer base.”
Sensor Technology’s Tony Ingham said: “There are big exhibitions in Germany, the US and India, so it is important that Sensors & Instrumentation Live continues to give people in the UK market somewhere to go for information on sensing and the supporting instrumentation.” AquaConnex’s Keith Jones explained why Sensors & Instrumentation Live had been beneficial for his company when they exhibited in 2019: “The enquiries have been absolutely excellent. We had 20 great enquiries on the first day and I would say that we are projecting to hit the same today. I would say that this exhibition is very important to the industry.”
With market-leading companies and a host of live features, there are lots of reasons to visit the event, as a delegate from Load Monitoring Systems explained while attending the 2019 edition of the exhibition: “It is really good for picking up new technology. As you can imagine, it is always a priority to look for new applications and this is the perfect platform to look out for something better.” A representative from Seaspeed Marine Consultant also commented: “It is a great opportunity to meet companies that I didn’t know that are potentially useful to our needs. It is an eye-opening show.”
What’s New in Electronics (WNIE) Live
What’s New in Electronics (WNIE) Live will begin a new chapter this September when it joins Sensors & Instrumentation Live in Hall 1 at the NEC, Birmingham. WNIE Live delivers a comprehensive two-day event covering the whole spectrum of the electronics, embedded, design, manufacturing and engineering industry. An exhibitor at the 2019 event said: “We took away three excellent enquiries from the exhibition. That is three potential clients we would not have come across in a million years had it not been for WNIE. There is no doubt the exhibition will be a commercial success for us.”
