Renowned multiphase oil and gas expert joins TUV SUD NEL

TUV SUD NEL, the flow measurement R&D specialist, has appointed Anna Pieper as Multiphase Flow leader. As a globally renowned expert, Pieper’s appointment will consolidate the organisation’s multiphase testing and research capability.

With more than a decade of specialising in multiphase flow metering, Pieper joins the company from Schlumberger. During this time, she worked as a field engineer, location manager and technical support engineer in many countries, including the Gulf of Mexico, Canada, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea and Tunisia.

Pieper’s appointment will support the organisation’s mission to help the oil & gas industry tackle multiphase flow measurement challenges and achieve the cost-effective exploitation of reserves in ever increasingly technically challenging production environments.

Well regarded within the oil & gas industry, Pieper will be involved in the delivery of the new Advanced Multiphase Facility (AMF). Currently being fitted-out, once the AMF is completed, its test range capability will be beyond anything currently available in the world, doubling existing capabilities to replicate extreme production conditions.

Dr Brian Millington, managing director, said: “While we are internationally recognised as one of the foremost authorities of flow measurement, it is vital for the oil & gas industry that our company remains at the cutting edge. Multiphase flow measurement technology has already been a game changer in the industry, but more research is required to refine technologies. Anna’s industry experience and technical expertise will enhance further the capabilities of our strong team to ensure that we continue to lead the way in the future of multiphase flow measurement.”
