Precision Blackbody & Dry-block Temperature Calibration Sources

Eurolec Instruments makes a range of industry-leading temperature calibration sources that allow you to verify the readings from both probe and infrared thermometers, giving you the confidence in knowing that your measurements are accurate.

Ensuring the accuracy of your temperature measurement instruments is essential to meet health and safety and industry-specific standards, regulations or guidelines. Making sure that your thermometers are reading accurately is an essential part of this process and using a reference calibration source made by Eurolec will achieve this.

Unlike other calibration sources available on the market

The CS Precision range of calibration sources designed and manufactured by Eurolec Instruments is unlike most other calibration sources available on the market, both in terms of build quality and capability and that they incorporate blackbody and dry-block technology in one unit. All calibration sources within the CS Precision range come equipped with the ability to calibrate both probe thermometers and infrared thermometers.

The CS Precision range of temperature calibration sources is designed to be able to calibrate to temperatures ranging from 40˚C below ambient temperature, up to 200˚C, and come with resolutions of either 0.01, or 0.1. The CS High-Temperature calibration source uses dry-block technology to calibrate probe thermometers up to temperatures of 650˚C. It can be used to calibrate all types of temperature measurement of any make or model.

The CS Series is available in three different variants, each of which provides a highly accurate and incredibly stable output, which is ideal for the calibration and servicing of reference thermometers, as well as multi-purpose probe thermometers and infrared temperature measurement instruments.

Key Features

  • 7 probe insert holes as standard (1 x 2.5mm, 3 x 3.5mm, 1 x 5.5mm, 1 x 6.5mm, 1 x 8.5mm)
  • Blackbody temperature source for the calibration of infrared thermometers
  • Dry-block temperature source for the calibration of probe thermometers
  • PID controller with platinum film sensor
  • Highly accurate and stable temperature source
  • Standard RS232 output with optional USB connection for calibration automation
  • Test point for reference thermometer for increased accuracy.

Variants

CS173: Temperature range of +30°C to +200°C | Resolution 0.1

CS174: Temperature range of 40˚C below ambient to +85˚C | Resolution 0.1

CS175: Temperature range of 40˚C below ambient to +85˚C | Resolution 0.01

All variants in the CS Precision series include a temperature control system and a pocket for a reference thermometer, allowing for greater accuracy of the calibration system.

Need a Reference Thermometer too?

Eurolec’s range of reference thermometers are calibrated to UKAS standards so the user can be assured of the highest levels of accuracy. The range includes precision reference thermometers which include a high accuracy Pt100 1/10th DIN probe, and a 5-point UKAS Certificate of Calibration. Each certificate will indicate deviations from standards at the following temperature check points: -18°C, 0°C, 40°C, 70°C and 100°C.
