With its low cost price tag and simple clamshell design the RPP-02N mobile thermal printer from our partner Xiamen Rongta is considered our entry level 2” model, however its functionality and high specification make it highly comparable to some of its more costlier competition. Weighing just 260g including both the Li-ion battery pack and paper roll and measuring just 102 x 108 x 50mm makes it one of the most lightweight and compact 2” printers on the market today.
To cover the many applications and the different market sector’s ideas on their preferred housing or case colour the printer can be supplied in either a black, dark grey or white and is also supplied with a leather belt pouch enabling the printer to be secured to the user’s belt for true portability. For communication flexibility, the RPP-02N has a hardwired USB or RS232 interface plus a Bluetooth or IrDA wireless connection. It is supplied with a field replaceable Li-ion 1600mAh battery pack providing 5hrs or 200M continuous printing on a full charge, can be re-charged in 3~4 hrs and unlike many of its competitors it can also be simply powered from is AC adaptor an optional desktop battery charger is also available. 
The printer has a print width of 48mm and a maximum print speed of 80mm/sec plus with its high resolution of 203dpi or 8 dots/mm (384 dots/line) enables fast, high quality text, graphics and barcode printing. A high capacity 57/58mm width paper roll with a maximum roll diameter of 40mm and a thickness of between 60~80µm makes the RPP-02N ideal for portable instrument test printouts amongst a host of other applications.
The printer includes the ESC/POS print command set and supports multiple language fonts plus custom fonts such as Cyrillic etc. can also be accommodated. The Windows operating systems as well as both Android and iOS are supported to enable users to produce their own application specific apps.
