New ePAPER display 3.3V,SPI sunlight readable

MMS Electronics has available a 2.0” ePAPER display 172×72 pixel with SPI interface. The ePAPER display offers high contrast, wide viewing angle, zero power readable and only 1.18mm thick.  The display includes the SSD1601 controller with SPI interface. This EA ePA20-A display is available from stock. To evaluate the EA ePAPER technology there is an intelligent eLABEL version with SPI, I2C and serial interface available. The EA eLABEL20-A includes 8 built-in fonts, rotation 172×72 or 72×172 under software control, on-board EEROM to store up to 256 macro programs and bitmaps. The EA eLABEL20 has a coin cell to rewrite the display and then return to zero down mode while still displaying the screen content. For quick development the eLABEL20-A can be programmed with the EA 9780-3USB test board. Without any programming pictures are loaded and displayed on the eLABEL display. In addition MMS Electronics Ltd can now supply customised ePAPER displays up to a maximum size of 300 x 300 mm. New EA DOGM204-A  20×4 (Char x Line)

MMS Electronics Ltd has available an exceptionally versatile line of alphanumeric and graphic displays for use in industrial and commercial applications. The latest addition to the popular 1×8, 2×16 and 3×16 display family is the new 4×20 (line x char) EA DOGM204-A high-contrast easy-to-read STN and FSTN display.

Supply voltage +3.3V without the need to supply a negative voltage. The low power design ~250µA makes it ideal for use in battery applications.  The display can be wired for 4bit, 8 bit, 4-wire SPI or 2-wire I²C interface. The onboard SSD1803 display controller has a choice of three different fonts: Cyrillic, English-Japanese and European.

Display and backlights can be ordered separately. 3 different backlights are available white, amber and a dual green/red. The dual backlight option is ideal for applications where a green (normal) or red (warning) status indication is required.  Without a backlight the displays are only 2mm thick and 5.8 mm including the LED backlight. Outline dimension 66x40mm with view area 63x26mm.  The slim design and low power makes the EA DOGM204 ideal for handheld or battery powered instruments.

New EA DOGM240-6 240×64 pixel

A new 240×64 high contrast graphic display, easy to read super-twist is new to this product range. The EA DOGM240-6 is 94mm long x 40 mm outline and view area is 90×24 mm. This display is ideal for use in 19” racks with 1RU or more. Operating from a single supply +2.7V to +3.3V without the need for a negative voltage. On-board UC1611s controller with SPI and I²C Interface. Display, backlights and touch-screen can be ordered separately. Four STN and FSTN displays and 3 different LED backlight colours. White, amber and dual red/green are available. Without backlight the displays is only 2.8mm thick and 5.8 mm including backlight. 

A simulator tool and USB test board EA 9780-3USB is available to help with development of the DOG and ePAPER displays. Without any programming the display is pictured on the Windows™ desktop and powered via USB when connected to the test board. Text typed in the editor is also displayed on the display.  The EA 9780-3USB test board can also be used with the graphic DOG display series. In graphic mode bitmaps dragged into the editor are shown on a graphic display.  When using the dual color or the RGB backlight different colours can be selected from the DIP switches on the board.
