New distribution deal ensures production quality across Europe

Inspekto, the company that founded the Autonomous Machine Vision (AMV) category, has partnered with Macnica, a global semiconductor distributor, to distribute its INSPEKTO S70 to a growing European customer base. Inspekto’s flagship product is the only visual inspection solution on the market to provide a truly plug and inspect experience. It is also the first and only vision inspection solution distributed by Macnica, helping the company’s customers meet stringent quality requirements in a variety of sectors and use cases.

Headquartered in Yokohama, Japan, Macnica has 84 sales offices and more than 3,000 employees worldwide. The company offers high-quality semiconductor devices that support artificial intelligence algorithms, specialising in video and audio processing.   

The newly established partnership between Inspekto and Macnica Europe means that the company’s customers will no longer be forced to rely on traditional machine vision solutions for their quality assurance processes. The shortcomings of these solutions are well known — high costs, a long and complex integration process, and the need for intensive training to identify defects. In contrast, the INSPEKTO S70 can be easily installed out-of-the-box, using an average of only 20- to 30 good (OK) samples and no defective (NOK) ones.

After approaching Inspekto, Macnica received an INSPEKTO S70 system, which was trialled for several weeks by the company’s technical team in Munich. Only after being convinced by the capabilities of the product, Macnica entered the partnership with Inspekto, acquiring distribution rights across Europe.

Powered by Adaptive Vision Artificial Intelligence (AV-AI) technology, the INSPEKTO S70 is the only Autonomous Machine Vision solution on the market.
