Microlease signs Italian distribution agreement with Detectus scanners

Microlease has signed an Italian distribution agreement with Swedish EMC scanning technology company Detectus. This brings together Micolease’s expertise in test equipment management with the market-leading EMC measurement technology of Detectus. Microlease can now offer its Italian customers the full range of Detectus EMC scanners, including high-resolution models, to buy, rent or lease.

Electronic designers today face ever high demands for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Meeting these demands is increasingly difficult as they encounter higher and higher frequencies, ever smaller products and shorter design schedules. To help them meet these challenges, Detectus has developed several unique measuring systems so they can perform pre-compliance measurements and identify the intensity and the location of radiation sources down to a component level.

Useful in all industries and for companies of all sizes with pre-compliance requirements, Detectus EMC scanners enable designers to detect potential emission problems during the early stages of design. This means they can be resolved early on, before they become integrated into the product and expensive to fix. These tools give designers a far higher level of confidence in their designs meeting specification first time, and on time. This saves in the cost of test house time and helps ensure deadlines are met.

Raffaele Gatta, Microlease’s EMEA Sales Director, says “We are delighted to enter into this distribution agreement in Italy with Detectus as it marries Microlease’s expertise in EMC sectors with Detectus’ fantastic product offering. In fact, the benefits of buying Detectus products from Microlease are several fold.

Microlease has fully trained sales engineers on hand to assist and we can demonstrate the systems available. We are able to offer a range of products to purchase, along with flexible finance and rental options. Microlease is also able to offer many more complimentary test tools to create a packaged solution to meet individual companies’ specific requirements.”

Detectus EMC scanners are not only useful at the design stage, they can also be used in production help to maintain high quality on production lines. They measure samples and compare them to a reference so that truly objective comparative measurements can be made. The visual noise detection system gives a fast and accurate colour graded view of emission hotspots. They are also capable of high-resolution heat scanning to identify thermal hotspots, and are available with a full range of amplifiers, probes, cables, accessories and advanced software.

“We are really excited to announce the appointment of Microlease as an official distributor for the Detectus product range in Italy” says Jan Eriksoon, Managing Director of Detectus, “The unique and powerful capabilities of Detectus EMC scanners, probes, amplifiers and software, coupled with Microlease EMC expertise and its innovative ways for our customers to access our technology, will I’m sure be of great value and interest to the Italian EMC community and beyond.”
