Join us at Instrumentation Scotland & Offshore Systems 2016

Having acquired the sole rights and all assets of the Instrumentation Scotland & Offshore Systems show from Trident Exhibitions just over four months ago, Datateam Business Media is delighted to announce that preparations for the 2016 event are well under way, with stand space selling fast.

Taking place at the AECC, Aberdeen from 31st August – 1st September, in addition to bringing together the many companies who supply products and services specific to the offshore sector, the event also focuses on test, measurement and control equipment for North East Scotland’s other key industries, including processing, power generation, paper, distilling, water and waste, marine engineering and more.

This biennial exhibition, an established show in Scotland, is now taking place for the 12th time. Publishing and event director, Kathryn Ambrose says: “The event will provide both visitors and exhibitors with an excellent way to network within their own region, and the chance to understand each other’s requirements and needs.”

Datateam Business Media has promised to take the event to the next level with a comprehensive cross media marketing campaign, including advertisements and editorial coverage in its Connecting Industry portfolio of 12 leading industrial magazines, websites and associated social media channels, as well as working with industry partners to ensure maximum exposure and coverage for the event.

Exhibition sales manager, Louise Pudney says: “Exhibiting at the 2016 show represents a fantastic opportunity to meet new and existing customers, launch new products and increase brand awareness in a targeted environment. Exhibiting is both cost effective and easy to organise; the all-in price includes a complete stand package so all you have to do is bring your products and sell. Plus it’s easy to get to, with ample parking on site.”

A number of exhibitors are already confirmed, including: Beamex, Berthold Technologies, ESI, Fischer Connectors, Hitex, Industrial Communications, Isothermal, Michell Instruments, Miland, and PR Electronics. To be sure of the best location, companies are advised to book now.

Distributor Sullivan and Sons has been selling market-leading brands of instrumentation and control valves since 1986.  President, Michael Sullivan is delighted to be exhibiting at the event; he says his goal is to “increase product awareness in Scotland and possibly find new distributors and customers.”

Michell Instruments is an international leader in high-precision sensing with 40 years’ in the field, specialising in instrumentation for dew point, relative humidity and oxygen analysis. The company serves industries as diverse as petrochemical and pharmaceutical to power generation and food processing.

For Michell, it’s the show’s location in Aberdeen that is the main attraction. UK sales manager Chris Parker says: “The oil and gas sector is a key target for us, and Aberdeen is the centre of the oil and gas industry in Europe. Because we are located in Cambridgeshire, this show enables us to meet with our current customers as well as connect with potential new customers. Visitors will be able to see our latest quartz crystal moisture analyzer system via our new augmented reality app. We’ll also have our MDM300 IS portable hygrometer at the show, which was designed for natural gas applications and moisture measurements in hazardous areas.”

Miland is a specialist agent distributor of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (EICA) products. The company’s Eric Anderson says, “We are exhibiting to showcase some new Instrumentation, Sensors and IO systems, and looking forward to demonstrating products to both potential and existing clients from different market sectors.”

Swagelok Scotland is the authorised Swagelok sales and service centre for the whole of Scotland. Mark Rattray, commercial director, says: “When we combine the capabilities of Swagelok Corporate with our regional knowledge and expertise, the Scotland show presents us with the opportunity to reach out to our customers and provide them with the products, services and solutions that they require to meet their business challenges.”

For 40 years Shawcity has focused on bringing the latest monitoring technology from leading manufacturers to the UK and Ireland. Its customers work in Health & Safety, Occupational Hygiene and Environmental applications and rely on achieving the highest levels of performance. Marketing manager Tracy Vernon says: “We are exhibiting at the event as we like to take the best opportunities to meet both our customers and new business contacts in Scotland.  We are able to offer impartial solutions across the board as we are not tied to any one manufacturer in any area of monitoring and we look at the whole picture to prevent short- and long-term health issues.

The exhibition will also feature a free seminar programme with contributions from notable industry experts. Companies interested in speaking at the event are invited to submit a paper online at instrumentation.co.uk.

Neil Mead, Datateam’s Industrial Division managing editor, is overseeing the programme. He says: “What we are looking for is cutting edge content, designed to keep delegates up to date with the latest advances in research and development. Datateam Business Media is a member of the CPD accreditation service and as such, we can add real value to the visitor experience by offering them the opportunity to boost their skills and knowledge.”
