The new clamshell design RP320 rugged IP54 certified 2”/3” mobile thermal printer from our partner XIAMEN RONGTA is the latest addition to our extensive portable/mobile thermal printer range.
The printer is designed as a 3” model, with a maximum paper roll width of 80mm and a diameter of 50mm, however an adjustable slider within the paper tray allows smaller paper rolls, the minimum being 57mm to be held securely turning the printer into a 2” model giving users the flexibility of producing different sized tickets, receipts or labels depending on their requirement. To further enhance the RP320’s desirability within this very competitive market sector the printer can print on both a standard thermal paper roll or a label roll (lined or liner-less) and supports black mark and paper gap detection.
The RP320 has a double injection moulded case in either hi-vis orange or RAF blue and by its design and construction offers an excellent level of water, dust and dirt proofing and is certified to the IP54 standard without the need of an extra case or cover. It can also withstand a drop onto a concrete floor from a height of 2m making it ideal for applications requiring a high level of ruggedness from their printer.
The printer offers a high print resolution of 203 dpi or 8 dots/mm and with a fast print speed of 90mm/sec high quality text, graphics and barcodes are easily produced almost instantaneously. A hardwired USB interface with connection via a micro USB connector is standard and is paired with either a Bluetooth or Wifi wireless interface or for complete communication flexibility both Bluetooth and Wifi. The printer comes equipped with a field replaceable re-chargeable Li-ion battery pack which can be re-charged with the supplied AC mains adaptor or via the USB port plus to aid the setup of the printer for first time use and to keep the user informed of comms settings and battery life etc. the printer incorporates a state of the art black and white OLED display. To further the printers appeal across the many possible applications the printer is compatible with Android, iOS and the Windows operating systems.

With a printer sporting this high specification you would expect a high price tag however this is not the case, pricing even for low volumes is sub £180 and when considering that many of its competitors with a similar specification and performance can be in excess of £300 giving RONGTA’s RP320 a distinct cost advantage.
