Bartington Instruments’ Helmholtz coil systems are widely used for calibration of magnetometers and creation of custom magnetic field environments
Equipment which can be calibrated includes stand along magnetometers, downhole directional drilling tools or even satellite assemblies.
Supplied with a dedicated power amplifier, the two available three-axis Helmholtz coil units, of 0.5m and 1m diameter, allow for the generation of a stable, DC compensated magnetic field in both AC and DC up to 0.5mT. The system allows for adjustment of scaling and orthogonality for very accurate field generation.
Developed for its own use as a high accuracy calibration system, Bartington Instruments now supplies this equipment to its customers around the world.
