DJB Instruments UK Ltd – [Stand C35]

DJB Instruments UK Ltd will be exhibiting at the Sensors & Instrumentation exhibition for the 3rd time in 2014 and this year they will be introducing a number of innovations.

First of all they will be manufacturing accelerometers live on their stand !!! As a UK manufacturer a tour of their Mildenhall factory has always been a highlight of their training events and customer visits, most users have no idea what goes in to making an accelerometer, in particular the world’s smallest IEPE accelerometer the A/128, so to see it actually happening and to see the individual components being hand built under microscope is a fascinating experience. Nigel Foreman, DJB’s assembly Supervisor will be on hand to answer questions and to build some accelerometers for all to see, this is a rare opportunity to gain a detailed understanding about these ‘taken for granted’ sensors.

There will also be a number of new product launches at the exhibition, PR will be available as well as all the latest datasheets for 3 new products.

  • The new handheld vibration meter the Vibratest VS1 will be launched which will replace the outgoing VT2 product, this will provide all the functionality of the VT2 with numerous additional features including memory storage, bearing analysis, full colour screen and frequency selection all in a compact rechargeable ruggedised package.
  • DJB will also be launching a 9 channel IEPE/Charge conditioning unit, developed to be used alongside triaxial as well as single axis accelerometers it will offer maximum flexibility, individual channel gain selection as well as independently selectable charge or IEPE conditioning per channel.
  • A new triaxial accelerometer will also be unveiled, available as a charge output or a voltage IEPE version the new A/36 and A/136 accelerometers will offer the much valued repair option for broken axes as well as being configured as direct replacements for existing competitor products currently in use. Both versions will be available as Titanium bodied blocks with isolation included.

During the show, DJB’s Managing Director, Neill Ovenden will be presenting a precis of their widely recognised training programme in the seminar theatre. ‘Accelerometers – The truth and more’ has been presented at numerous UK and European venues already and has received universal praise for the style of presentation, content and the interaction with delegates which provides them with an opportunity to question their existing procedures and processes, leading to better data acquisition and data quality.

The training will also be available more widely in Europe following the exhibition as it will be launched in Germany and France in October.

Finally and most importantly! DJB will be giving all stand visitors the chance to win a Samsung tablet! Visit stand number C35 for details and to enter.
