BSRIA North appoints new technical operations manager

BSRIA North has announced the appointment of Anthony Collier as its new technical operations manager, effective from Monday 3rd September 2018, in a newly-created role.

Anthony is well experienced in UKAS Laboratory, Calibration and Quality Management, with 14 years of experience mainly in a materials testing environment for the civil engineering highways sector.

June Davis, Business Manager, BSRIA North, said: “Anthony brings with him an abundance of experience and we see this appointment in a newly-created role as an essential step in our continued development for the strategic direction BSRIA North is taking for 2018 and beyond.

“With Anthony’s vast credentials and impressive, technical experience and transferrable skills, this will boost BSRIA North’s reputation as the go-to industry leader in delivering global sustainable building construction, solutions and research.”

Anthony said: “I am looking forward to making my mark at BSRIA in this new role that will highlight the value BSRIA represents for the built environment sector at the time of profound change and challenge.

“I am also keen to switch industries and applying my knowledge into the test, instruments and research fields in the construction and building services sector. I am NEBOSHH qualified and take a serious approach to all H&S matters.

“I will be able to apply my knowledge and qualifications since I am also a qualified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems and have been involved in numerous UKAS 17025 audits over the years which will aid the growth of BSRIA North department.

“My new role will guarantee that BSRIA strengthens its position at the forefront of technical operations and such activities. It will also enhance BSRIA’s reputation of a reliable partner in delivering growth and improvement for BSRIA North members and, indeed, the wider construction industry stakeholders – both nationally and globally. It is certainly an exciting time.”
