BEKA field instruments can now be panel mounted

BEKA associates ‘G’ field mounting instruments in GRP enclosures can now be panel mounted following the introduction of the BA494G panel mounting kit.

The kit allows the extensive range of BEKA loop powered indicators, rate totalisers, counters, timers and tachometers to be safely mounted in a panel enclosure. The IP66 ingress protection of the ‘G’ instrument and the ingress protection provided by the panel enclosure in which it is mounted are preserved. The kit is ideal for mounting field instruments onto an open panel where the instrument’s IP66 ingress protection is required.

The BA494G panel mounting kit is manufactured from carbon loaded GRP with silicone gaskets. The kit has been ingress tested by a UKAS accredited test laboratory which confirmed that it maintains the ‘G’ instrument’s IP66 protection and does not degrade the ingress protection of the panel enclosure in which it is mounted. The kit has IECEx and ATEX certification so that the intrinsic safety certification of a ‘G’ instrument that it is supporting is not invalidated.
