Apply now for sensor and measurement innovation award

The AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement (AMA) requests innovators to contend for the AMA Innovation Award 2014. Individuals as well as developer teams can take part in the competition with innovative research and development projects with an apparent market relevance. Startups may also contend for the special Young Enterprise Award.

The AMA Innovation Award has been presented for 14 years now for outstanding research and development achievements. This award is exceptional in that it is presented to the developers or developer teams themselves, rather than their enterprise or institute. All contending projects are also published by the Association.

The Jury comprises experts from universities, institutes, and enterprises, who judge the projects based on their scientific merit and marketability.

“Every year we get interesting, innovative, and market relevant submissions from all over the world,” says jury chair Professor Andreas Schütze from Saarland University. “Mary of these are remarkable developments from startups as well as from established institutions. To give young enterprises a good chance, we have created the special category Young Enterprises. The AMA invites its winner to present its outstanding project free of charge at the Association’s SENSOR+TEST trade fair.”

The terms and conditions as well as application forms for participation in the AMA Innovation Award 2014 contest and the special Young Enterprise category and the brochure of participants in 2013 are available free of charge at http://www.ama-sensorik.de/wissenschaft/ama-innovationspreis/.

The final submission date is 27 January 2014.

The nominees are to be announced at the Annual AMA Press Conference in March of 2014. The AMA Innovation Award will be presented at the opening ceremony of the SENSOR+TEST on 3 June 2014 in Nuremberg.
