Sister companies, AcSoft and GRAS UK – specialists in sound and vibration sensors and instrumentation for the aerospace, automotive, environmental, building control and telecommunications sectors – are co-hosting a free Acoustics Seminar at the Heritage Motor Centre in Warwickshire on 2nd December 2014.
The Acoustic Seminar will examine some of the key issues involved in making acoustic measurements such as sound pressure, sound intensity, particle velocity and sound power.
As well as UK experts, there will be guest speakers from Microflown in the Netherlands and G.R.A.S in Denmark. Various demonstration systems will be on site during the day so delegates can experience test units working in real life.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided and there will also be the opportunity to explore the Heritage Motor Centre’s museum during breaks and after the seminar.
GRAS UK was established in July 2014 and is a newly formed subsidiary of Denmark-based G.R.A.S Sound and Vibration. The company specialises in acoustic front end products for the precise and reliable measurement and recording of acoustic signals. These include microphones, pre-amplifiers and signal conditioning devices.
AcSoft is currently celebrating its 20-year anniversary and recently revealed that sales have increased by 30% since 2012.
The Acoustic Seminar is almost fully booked but AcSoft and GRAS UK plan to repeat the event again in late 2015.
