About the area

Reading – the county town of Royal Berkshire - has been recognised as the business and financial capital of the Thames Valley for many years.

Many of the country’s top companies have chosen to site their headquarters in Reading, not just because it is conveniently close to London, but it has excellent communication links with every part of the country.
Clusters of related industries in the surrounding areas include Southampton, Bristol, Oxford, Swindon and Luton, all of which are within a short travelling distance of Reading

The Visitors
The visitor campaign will utilise a mixture of national and regional advertising and editorial, including the support of Business Link Magazine in promoting the event across the whole range of industries in the region.

Instrumentation magazine has large databases of related contacts within the southern area, which will be targeted with show invites and email broadcasts. This in conjunction with utilising Trident’s own extensive in house contact database, will form the basis of the marketing campaign.

Trident will also be looking to work closely with the University of Reading who has a School of Construction Management & Engineering, a School of Systems Engineering and a Department of Physics.
Industry Support

The Institute of Measurement & Control - Britain's foremost professional body for the Automation Industry - provides members with routes to Engineering Council registration as Chartered and Incorporated Engineers, and Engineering Technicians. The Institute is not tied to a single application area, nor is it limited in the technologies and disciplines it may embrace. Any application or technique of measurement and control falls within its scope of interest.
